I’m not a university student, can I still attend and compete in the LoL/Overwatch/CS:GO tournament?

Unfortunately, you will not be able to compete in our main tournaments (LoL, Overwatch or CS:GO) as these are exclusive to university students. However you are welcome to attend the event and enter any of the tournaments running on the day, such as Super Smash Bros and SFV!

Are we allowed to have subs in case one of our players drops out before the live finals?

You can register up to 7 players so you can use 2 substitutes during the qualifiers. Only 5 players (6 for Overwatch) can play in the final though so only pick those who are available!

At least ⅗ (4/6 for Overwatch) of your players who qualified must play in the finals.

Can there be multiple teams from one university?

Yes, we are allowing up to three teams to be entered for each university. It will be the university’s own responsibility to choose which 3 will enter!

Would you allow a team made up of people from different universities to enter, if most of us are from the same university?

All members of your team must be from the same university, sorry.

Can postgrads represent their university in the tournaments?

Anyone with a valid university email (.ac.uk) who is currently a student at their university can enter the tournament.

Can only Northern universities enter the tournament?

We are now a national event so any UK university is welcome to enter teams.

Do finalists have to bring their own PCs or will you provide them?

Top of the range gaming PCs will be provided by the University of Salford but you will have to bring your own peripherals. If, in the unlikely event that anything goes wrong, we will have plenty of spares available.

Will the final games be streamed?

Yes, they will be streamed on our Twitch!
